Venios at the Africa Smart Grid Forum 2016

“Venios meets Africa!” – Using this slogan, Venios enters the African market. The goal of Venios is to support African governments and distribution system operators (DSOs) ot implement smart grid solutions. Therefore, Venios was represented by Dr.-Ing. Robert Lorenz and invited to speak about the topic “Managing Distribution Grid Infrastructure through IT Solutions” during the 2nd Africa Smart Grid Forum 2016. The forum was an ideal place to exchange platfrom with over 700 participants about the current developments in the energy sector. However, only rough 30% of the population has access to power, but the installation of new power plants is accelerating throughout the last years. The topic “smart grid” as a transformation of the energy sectors takes over a leading role in the decentralized energy generation. Venios offers Venios Energy Solution (VES) as the right solution to make smart grid in Africa reality.
